A beautiful combination of elegance and natural charm, the Azalea brings a touch of Japanese tradition and seasonal beauty to any bonsai collection.

Azaleas originate primarily from Asia, particularly Japan, China and Korea, where they have been admired and cultivated for centuries.

They hold a special place in Japanese horticulture and culture, symbolising beauty, patience and the arrival of spring.  Azaleas are one of the most popular flowering bonsai varieties, loved for their spectacular bursts of colourful flowers, delicate foliage and beautiful branching. Deeply rooted in Japanese gardening tradition, they bring a wonderful sense of seasonal beauty, elegance and colour to the art of bonsai.

 CARE

Azaleas love a bright outdoor position with plenty of natural light, ideally with some protection from harsh afternoon sun. Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged, using rainwater where possible, as Azaleas prefer slightly acidic conditions. They enjoy regular feeding during the growing season and benefit from pruning after flowering to maintain their beautiful shape. Protect them from extreme heat, drying winds and frost.

Your stunning Azalea should live outdoor in part shade, they can tolerate coming inside for short (1-2 days) periods of time to impress your guests.

Please note that your Azalea bonsai may or may not be flowering at the time of delivery, as flowering is seasonal and depends on the time of year.

Apply Bonsai Boy's Plant Nourishment fertiliser during the growing season.

The total width of the pot is 13cm wide, total height including pot is 18cm.
