If you would like your delivery left at your door you must specify this with your order otherwise a re-delivery card will be left to arrange for re-delivery.
How do you pack my Bonsai so that it will arrive in pristine condition?
We take extreme caution when packing our Bonsai to ensure that it arrives to you in pristine condition, however insurance is also taken out to ensure you are 100% covered.
Our packaging steps:
Your bonsai is placed on a very think bed of bubble wrap to stop any damage to the from jarring or shock.
A thick layer of recycled newspaper is placed over the Bonsai stones and cut neatly around the trunk for a snug fit.
Packaging stretch wrap is used to wrap the entire pot with its surrounding materials. At this stage the Bonsai and the pot are completely enclosed and there is no movement, holding the pot upside down will not effect the Bonsai in any way. This also helps to avoid the Bonsai from drying out.
We have a variety of box sizes to use so that your Bonsai is in the perfect size box to avoid excessing packaging materials and to provide the most secure fitting for your Bonsai.
Your Bonsai is now placed in the box and very tightly packed in with recycled newspapers. Your Bonsai will not move about in the box at this point as we have taken extreme care to pack as tightly as possible.
We have used 2 thick cardboard stabilisers which sit on the top of the Bonsai packaging to hold it in place so that the Bonsai will not fall from its position if the box is placed upside down.
The Box is closed and secured with 'Fragile' and 'Living plant inside, this way up' stickers as extra caution to remind Australia Post that we have very precious cargo onboard.
We do hope and trust this gives you confidence in our packaging system and our relationship with Australia Post.
