The Little Ruby fig originates from the United States and was selected by Denny McGaughy near Olympia, Washington. It is a seedling of the "Hardy Chicago" variety, chosen for its compact, dwarf growth habit and cold hardiness.
The Little Ruby fig is a popular dwarf, cold-hardy cultivar prized for its compact 4–6 ft size as a tree in nature and high yield of small to medium reddish-brown figs with deep ruby-red flesh.
The Fig is a hardy plant, it the perfect option if you are wanting you Bonsai to live indoors.
