4 Year Old Liquidambar Forest Setting

The Liquidambar is  native to southeast and east Asia, the eastern Mediterranean and North America. They are decorative deciduous trees that are commonly used in the forestry industry.

This is a conical shaped tree which becomes rounded with age. It has beautiful finely toothed leaves which colour to shades of red, orange and purple during Autumn putting on a spectacular show. Flowers form in spring followed by spiky, woody, ball-like fruits which hang from the branches. Named Liquidambar due to its yellow reddish-brown sap.

Your beautiful lush Liquidambar should be left outside in full sun to part shade, they can tolerate coming inside for short (2-3 days) periods of time to impress your guests.

Water regularly to avoid the soil from drying out, the soil must always have some moisture.

In the warmer months of the year, daily watering will be required.

Apply Bonsai Boy's Plant Nourishment fertiliser during the growing season.
